Marcus Klamming to succeed Natalie Tideström Heidmark as new CEO of We Are Era Nordics

September 16, 2021

Marcus Klamming has been appointed CEO of We Are Era Nordics. Marcus has over ten years of experience in media and sales, most recently as Sales Director at We Are Era Nordics, where he is also part of the management team. Marcus is taking over from Natalie Tideström Heidmark, who, after almost eight years at the company, most recently as CEO and Chairman of the Board, has decided to resign. Natalie will continue working as a senior advisor within the company. The formal transition will take place on October 8th, 2021.

Since its start as an online video network, We Are Era Nordics (formerly United Screens) has grown into a pan-European talent agency focusing on content, talent and reach. Over the past six months, the company has also undergone an extensive global rebranding, with former United Screens joining forces with former Divimove under the joint We Are Era brand. Both companies maintained a very close collaboration in recent years. Natalie, who has been with the company since the early days, is now handing over her CEO duties to Marcus Klamming. In this role, he will continue working on We Are Era's strategies for promoting growth and uncovering new business areas.

"Natalie has always had total focus and commitment, which is a big part of why We Are Era is where it is today – a pan-European market leader. We’ve worked closely together over the years and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Natalie and wish her all the best for the future. The process of finding a successor involved interviewing many interesting profiles, both internal and external. Marcus has clearly shown incredible drive and faith in the future throughout the process. In his role as Sales Director he is already a key person for our partners and agencies, in addition to having a great deal of knowledge about our organization and business. This makes him an ideal leader and the obvious choice as the new CEO upon Natalie's resignation”, says Tobias Schiwek, CEO at We Are Era.

Marcus Klamming has over ten years of experience in media and sales, including past roles at Schibsted and most recently as Sales Director at We Are Era Nordics. On October 8th, Marcus will take over as CEO while also being part of We Are Era’s global management team. In the meantime, there will be a handover period during which he will work alongside Natalie until the official transition.

“Being given this opportunity and shown the confidence to lead We Are Era Nordics going forward makes make me feel both humble and proud as I take on this new role. The company is in a very exciting phase and together with our amazing team I look forward to accelerating our work and the implementation of We Are Era's strategies”, says Marcus Klamming.

“It’s not an easy decision to leave the company after almost eight years, but I feel confident handing over to Marcus, while knowing I will still be part of the company as a senior advisor. We’ve been on an incredible journey since the start and I’m proud of where we are today. I feel very grateful for my time together with all our fantastic employees and for the trust shown by our owners, clients and partners. This journey has been ‘full speed ahead’ and now I plan to move on with new challenges and explore life as an entrepreneur,” says Natalie Tideström Heidmark.
